Our home state and largest market: DOT interchanges and bridges in the I-5 corridor, plus water and wastewater work around Puget Sound and the Columbia River.
Overview
Halvorsen Pike has built in Washington since 1987, and the state still accounts for about 55 percent of our work. Our regular owners include the state DOT's southwest and northwest regions, a dozen county public works departments, port districts and the larger water and sewer districts from Clark County to Kitsap.
Typical projects are bridge replacements and seismic retrofits, interchange reconstruction, fish-passage culverts, treatment plant expansions and large-diameter water mains. Washington's in-water work windows and stormwater permit requirements are second nature to our crews, and we hold a state contractor registration with no open L&I citations.
The Vancouver headquarters serves Washington, with crews and equipment staged at our yard on Fruit Valley Road and a satellite laydown area in Kitsap County for the Harbor Point project. Emergency response calls in western Washington are dispatched from Vancouver, with an arrival target of two hours in the I-5 corridor.
