Estimator*

Our estimating department prices more than 140 bids and proposals a year. As an estimator you will take off quantities, solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes and develop labor, equipment and indirect cost estimates, and you will present them to our senior management in bid reviews.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Build cost estimates in HCSS HeavyBid
• Develop and issue subcontract and supply packages
• Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering
• Work with superintendents on means, methods and schedule

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3 or more years of heavy civil estimating
• Experience with HeavyBid, Bluebeam and scheduling software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
